      Pros

      Overall I feel that UWHC was an excellent place to work and grow as a nurse clinician. The benefits, salary and opportunities for growth were good. I would recommend UWHC to a fellow nurse!

      Cons

      I feel that too much was expected by upper management of RNs, without knowing the reality of what it means to provide care at the bedside. The culture of being a bedside nurse at UWHC is filled with unprofessional gossiping and lack of support by fellow RNs.

      Pros

      There are a lot of opportunities within UW Health. Since there is a lot going on it is a good chance to explore different interests.

      Cons

      Within this huge organization, it is easy to get lost in the mix. There is a lot going on 24/7 so communication between different departments is lacking, as well as communication between management.

      Pros

      Hospital is well-organized and has very talented and dedicated employees. People show respect and want to improve themselves professionally.

      Cons

      Parking is a challenge. Harder to change departments and move around to other positions since many decisions are based off of seniority, turnover is low, and competition is high.
