      Pros

      Great people. Everyone is very helpful, friendly and patient centered. Fairly progressive with technology, using engineers and improvement strategies.

      Cons

      Due to the friendly culture, things are swept under the rug and people hold their tongue rather than express concerns directly.

      Pros

      The hospital offers great benefits, great vacation package, sick leave that rolls over every year, and excellent opportunities for growth with tuition reimbursement. Opportunities for advancement are many. They have tried to deal with the Act 10 changes appropriately but many employees are still upset by the change in law. Employees see that they have to pay more for retirement and more for insurance but don't take any of the other changes in the health care market into consideration. The hospital has also included the staff in the decisions being made regarding the unions going away but many staff complain about how they don't want to go to meetings, they just want to do their work. If you aren't willing to have a voice in the change, then don't complain about them. You are being given the opportunity to give input, take it. It is human nature to be concerned for yourself but I believe the employees should be very thankful they work in a stable environment.

      Cons

      Large institution with many layers so it takes a long time for change to happen, this is a disappointment to many staff.
