Thank you for your review. I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed working with members of our team and under Dave, our CEO and founder. I'm disappointed to hear that our pay didn't seem appropriate for the work you contributed to our team. As we advocate for higher minimum wages, we strive to practice what we preach in terms of paying our team higher wages, with an 'uncommon' minimum wage that far exceeds the state requirements. We are focused on constantly learning and I'm curious about where you felt we fell short in terms of management skills. If you would like to speak to me about this, please reach out to me via email at scullen@uncommongoods.com. Best, Sean

Pros

Relaxed work environment, little perks like free fruit, hot chocolate & marshmallows, free food if working late nights & holidays. (That was while I worked there from November to January as a temp seasonal employee).

Cons

Like any other place, there's a mix of supervisors that are very helpful and encouraging, and some that aren't.

We value our seasonal team members' contribution to our business and we want to show our appreciation any chance we can. I am glad that you enjoyed a few of our perks for spending time with us last season. I hope that you are doing well and, if you are still looking for a year-round role elsewhere, I'd be happy to introduce you (and all other members of our seasonal team) to a member of our partnering organization that is focused on helping our outstanding seasonal team find their next role. You can reach me at scullen@uncommongoods.com. Best, Sean

I'm happy to hear that you found our team to be great and attentive. Our location is also pretty great, as The Brooklyn Army Terminal is just 2 years shy of 100 years old and a landmark. It was designed by famous architect Cass Gilbert (who also designed the Woolworth Building and a few other hot spots around town). Personally, I love it for its rich history and character. While I sometimes find it shady, it tends to be when I'm trying to enjoy lunch out of the sun. At UncommonGoods, we use our business to help improve the world and approach everything--each other included-- with an open and positive mindset. To hear that you felt this is not the case is something that I take seriously and would love to speak with you more about. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly via email at scullen @ uncommongoods.com or give me a call at 718-210-1200 x2532. I look forward to hearing from you. Best, Sean
