Pros

They will hire anyone with a pulse and any sales experience on their resume. Pay is good for entry level. Lots of training most of it actually pretty good.

Cons

They make you watch videos about the dead founder. They make you watch anti union videos. The pay never gets better. The Route Sales (drivers) hate the sales staff. They see any account that is not a whale as a pain in the backside. Many inside staff have been there for 30 years and resist change. They treat Sales people like temps because they are. You are a thief if you want a sample towel for a potential client. They recruit recruite recruite even when they have a full staff, ask youself why??????? The dreaded Blackberry that they are obsessed with.

Pros

Decent training program. Learned skills that will transfer to other occupations.

Cons

They don't give any administrative time. They want you cold calling from 8am to 5pm and you must work on proposals and presentations in your own time. You must also prepare for prep meetings in your own time. Everyone I worked with either worked 60 hours a week or was constently in trouble.

Pros

In my 9 years with UniFirst i have had some of the best Mentors and Support that any person can ask for. I started in sales in a small town and have worked my way to where i am. UniFirst will always promote from within as a first option which means they want you to succeed. Lots of rewards and President's Club is always the Target.

Cons

Not a downside persay but it's a high pressure job and that is why the rewards are high to successful people. Bring your 'A' game or you may not make it.
