Pros

Provides Flight benefits for employees and their immediate families. It should be noted, I am only here for flight benefits so it works for me. It may not work for you. However, I dont knock working for the company because it serves my needs. However, if I did not have another source of income, I would not be here. In fact, I will be leaving soon to work for another airline which pays a great deal more in salary and other benefits. Dont expect to support a family and send your children to college working on this job. So my suggestion is, work here only if you just need extra money to pay a cable bill, utility bill, a car note, or you want flight benefits. This job will not pay you to do much more than that.

Cons

Delta Global Services have the potential to be a great company. But that vision is not part of their business model or intentions. Delta Global Services is in business to make money sparing as much expense as it can. Even to the detriment of it's employees. Delta Global Services is not in the business to be a great company for its employees. They don't embrace employee loyalty. This is reflected in the salary it pays to their employees. Once Delta Global Services employees understands the concept Delta Global Services have," the revolving door concept," only then will Delta Global Services employees see clear enough to decide if the Delta Global Services model works for them. Delta Global Services in not in the business of retaining employees. It is only a temporary staffing company. That is fine if you have no intentions of making a career with Delta Global Services. Delta Global Services, by design, is not interested in retaining employees. They have "NO RESPECT" for their employees "SELF RESPECT". This is reflected by the salary it pays it's employees. ($7.50 Up to no more than $10.00 an hour) For the type of work required, $18 to $22 per hour, which is the median wage for most airlines in the same business doing the same type of service, is where Delta Global Services should be. Yet Delta Global Services cut and reduce salaries to met their bottom line. But remember, it's their company, they can do what they want. You have to decide if it works for you. It's a revolving door. Work there only to get the experience, then, seek employment for another airline service.

Pros

For now you can fly free on Delta Airlines - However - The pay is so low you can't afford to go anywhere (hotel, rental car, food). The pay is so low you have to work 80 hrs per week to barely make ends meet, so your always working not flying. You are low on the priority list so good luck getting out of a hub, especially hub to hub good luck with that. Where I work the management team is always threatening to suspend your flight benefits, it's like I can't afford to nor do I have the time to use these benefits.

Cons

Low pay, second class treatment, the management doesn’t have a clue about how to actually turn a flight; yet they walk around with a God complex. High turnover, so you always work short staff. High turnover so you always have to deal with the errors of new workers. Unaffordable health care insurance. Poor work environment, low worker moral. If you work at an airport like mines DGS has multiple mainline contracts so you are expected to learn and know multiple airline systems and keep up with multiple mainline training schedules even though you don’t receive flight benefits on those mainline carriers. Yet for the public you are expected to smile and represent that carrier like everything is peachy. You get to do all this for an ultra low wage. Unlike ground handlers PSA, AWAC, Express Jet etc DGS is not an airline so opportunity is limited, you can never work your way up to flight attendant, Pilot, Flight Dispatcher, Mechanic etc.
