Pros

~Hard-working and passionate coworkers. ~Solid location - being close to k-town means there are a lot of great lunch options. There would have been a lot more pros if I had written this review around this time last year.

Cons

~Below market pay. ~Unified used to boast about its long list of cool, big-name clients. They are mostly gone though. ~It used to pride itself on diversity & inclusion. That all went out the window this year. The diversity committee is pretty much dissolved because the members are not with the company anymore due to company reorg. ~It used to be full of great managers who cared. Now all those who are left are those who drink the kool-aid and follow the orders of the executives without question. ~Disparity in workload - some people worked a pretty cool 10-6 schedule, while others were working 80-100 hour weeks including weekends, with little to no recognition from the management that this was an issue. Burnout concerns were quickly dismissed.

Pros

Unified invests in their employees and products ensuring a positive and stable work environment. The company culture is very much like a family - we all support each other, work to enable career growth within the company, and to develop programs designed to grow skills outside of specific job designations. Unified recently started a program called LEAD (Leadership, Empowerment and Development) designed to encourage and inspire female employees to pursue their highest level career ambitions. We also have many internal team building events, community outreach & intramural team opportunities. Finally, Unified has incredibly high standards for it's employees, ensuring that once you are a Unificorn, you are working with the brightest minds in the industry - something that makes coming to work every day incredibly fulfilling, challenging and fun.

Cons

As a remote employee I sometimes feel less connected than my NYC based counterparts. Also, as a start up, we don't have some of the perks that larger companies have such as 401k matching.

Pros

Everyone but the leadership are diligent and smart people.

Cons

Look, the company seemed great at the start. But then one or two things fell through, and everything went pretty sour. Not sure what more I can say.
