Pros

-Pay is usually pretty good

Cons

- Every couple of years - massive layoffs in the name of profit - Employees treated as commodity (you are just a FTE, always on the chopping block if the share price dips) - not much appreciation for skills - all employees 'interchangeable' management

Pros

Good Pay and good benifits.

Cons

Horrrible work life balance on call 24/7 often working again after 10 hours off with major sleep depervation. And if you make a mistake while half a sleep they are very quick to displine and fire you. They won't let you take earned time off either.
