Diversity suppose to be a strength but in reality is very challenging and sensitive. In Hollywood movies an ex con, city person, country person, lesbian, black white brown and veteran are comedic collaborations. But in reality, there is always nervousness, sensitivity, far political cultural differences in all directions. Many times unequal work, unequal training, constant meshing of subgroups. CYOB becomes a mantra. There’s no synchronization of schedules to allow for employee camaraderie or extracurricular activities. The job bid structure inherently pits workers at each other as well as taking time off pits workers and management against eachother.
