Pros

Railroad retirement ik nstead of social security. Historically opportunities to work multiple departments.

Cons

Terrible management health ins , very very political instead of based on work and daily contributions. Recent changes of ceo leave much to be desired in the way employees ard valued. He continues to go outside the company to fill top management talent. Upward nobility no.longer a plus, loyalty and care towards employee's now nonexistent. .

Pros

The health benefits are superb! Plenty of rooms for advancement. A great family atmosphere-like. Management and the unionized workers alike make you truly feel at home. If you like the outdoors, then this is a great place to work for.

Cons

Working outdoors is the biggest challenge: rain, cold, and heat conditions, and yet the salary make you easily forget them all. It is what it is.

Pros

Benefits and retirement programs are awesome. Pay cant be beat. A lot of pathways to advancement. Alot of down time while on duty some take advantage of this.

Cons

Us against them mentality amongst agreement employees and management. When the economy is down so goes job stability. If you dont work safe dont apply. You will be fired.
