Pros

Good place to work, good pay and benifets. Lots of security we haven't had a layoff since 2000, Excellent vacation plan and 401K program.

Cons

Managment is trying to get to involved in the day to day work program. I think they should back off and let the supervisors do their job.

Pros

Good job. You can either work a whole not or not as much at all and you still make your money. It all depends on the job you bid into.

Cons

Salary, healthcare and vacations are negotiated by one of two unions. While benefits are still good they seem to be in decline. In addition the hours are horrible, you are on call 24/7. You work off of a rotating roster, you go to work with a train that you are lined up for 9 times out of 10 the time that you show going to work does not show up on time. You either go to work way early or super later. It makes it hard to adjust your sleep cycle.
