The family atmosphere and care for employees. Attention to detail regarding guest accommodations. The hiring of open minded management really shows in the progressiveness of the work place.

Cons

It's the service industry so the pay isn't that great. Sometimes there is a this a "this is how it's done" mentality that can be detrimental to the moral of the employees

Pros

USHG is full of smart and caring staff who all care about the work they do. I appreciate the focus on values and the support I am given in the day to day. There are plenty of systems of accountability and opportunities for growth. Unfortunately more responsibilities and a promotion does not always mean more compensation.

Cons

Sometimes I wish there was a little more transparency, although I do understand the idea of only telling people what they need to know. It can become difficult to communicate with coworkers because you don't know who knows about what projects.
