      Pros

      There were some really good co-workers who were very knowledgeable and willing to help each other out.

      Cons

      Poor salaries. Managers were non-existant. Company was more worried about off-shoring everything than keeping it in the US and delivering a good product. Upper management never consulted with teams who were actually working on applications, etc. Those decisions always backfired later and constantly had to put out "fires"

      Pros

      This company continued to hire even through some of the more difficult economic times. If you worked with this company long enough, it seemed as though they had some work from home opportunities.

      Cons

      Management was poor. Most managers are not in the same physical location as you, so you never get to meet them face to face. In order to get a straight answer from anyone, you had to "jump through" a ton of hoops. No career advancement what so ever. Favoritism among team mates was very evident.

      Pros

      Good benefits package, comparable vacation and holiday time provided (including 2 floating holidays per year), physical work environment is comfortable, co-workers are professional and accommodating. Opportunities for telework are terrific.

      Cons

      The salaries at Unisys are not competitive with that of other companies, especially for long-term employees because many employees receive less than 2% pay increases each year. Thus, should you accept an offer at Unisys, negotiate for as high a salary as possible because even promotions are viewed as "lateral moves" where you do not receive a pay raise. Additionally, as with other companies, Unisys has suspended its 401(k) company match indefinitely (as of Jan 2010).
