A good place to learn about the Service desk industry
Pros
- Good place to learn if you interested in upping your career in the field. - Environment mostly good, with fun activities when management decides to spend a little money on employees. - Mostly good people to work with, and made some really close friends for life. - Rarely a dull day at office - Training to keep the people up to date, although sometimes its reactive to a bad situation - leading it to be more of damage control(guess that makes it a Con)
Cons
- Lots and lots of Office politics!!! - although you learn to deal with it, so I'm not sure if its a Pro or Con. - Salary differences between people on same level can lead to unhealthy environment at times. - Favoritism shown by certain upper management staff. - Low work-life balance if you are in a managerial role: you are expected to stay longer, and no over time is to be expected
