Pros

My immediate supervisor and coworkers were a good, (albeit not knowledgeable), group to work with. Most of the regular employees were nice.

Cons

Upper management was horrible. Communication did not exist and working conditions were unsatisfactory. Micromanagement abound. One was expected to support technology that was not even present in the call center. And that is EXACTLY what it is. You have a certain amount of time you can be on a call. Don't be too slow BUT don't work to quickly, they will give you a whole other client to work on IN ADDITION to the one you are currently working with. The long timers are jumping ship over the constantly decreasing pay and increasing work load. Not to mention, so many corners are cut there that the HR department for the non- contracted employees is across the country!

Pros

Well, you get paid. Most of the people are tolerable to work with. If you show up late frequently and have attendance issues, you can be not only hired on after starting as a contractor but you can be promoted!

Cons

The pay is lousy for the amount of work they want you to do. You are forced to work in multiple ques for multiple companies (dirty little secret) but get paid a flat rate. And sometimes you can mix them up. You may be assigned to work for company XYZ but, you will also have to take calls for company LMNOP because they cannot hire enough people to work individual ques. Management is lazy at best and they do nothing to boost morale. If software fails and tickets cannot be processed, the servers are offshore and if they see nothing wrong on their end, they won't do anything about it until you hound them. Computers are old and barely capable of running necessary applications. This is an IT help desk and they use equipment that cannot even handle everyday applications that users call with inquiries about. No real training, just a phone and a PC.
