Pros

Great benefits, 401k, insurance, etc. PTO/Sick time.

Cons

United is a sales based company. The only way you can really see a decent paycheck for your hardwork is by becoming a sales rep, which is almost impossible if you're a delivery driver. Drivers are awarded once a year with a, "driver appreciation week" in which they feed you luke-warm breakfast burritos and orange juice before giving you your 13th Miller Lite hat/shirt. There is almost no room for moving up as they will not allow you leave your position if you have a heavy route. Management plays favorites to the drivers who are willing to kiss their butt. You will be told how much they care about you and how great of a job you're doing, but you are guaranteed to get a 3% raise no matter how well the company does in the fiscal year. They will nit-pick every mistake you make and discipline you for the most absurd stuff you could imagine. Worst. Company. Ever.

Don't do it

Pros

I guess a pro would be they give you a company car...but then they use that as an excuse to send you hours away from where you live.

Cons

Everything. The hours. The pay. The way they just see you as a set of hands and not an employee. They don't fully disclose just how many hours you will be working during the interview process. I was told it would be anywhere from 38-40 hours a week...I was working well over 50. They also don't stress just how heavy the workload would be on Saturdays and holidays. You basically only get Wednesdays and some Sundays off, other than that you're pretty much working all the time and have no free time. I also was never really told just exactly who my boss was or who I reported to which also caused some confusion.
