I had a very negative experience with United Rentals. Multiple leaders gave me specific assurances that I had been offered a role. They outlined compensation details, territory assignments, and even promised a $10,000 lump sum relocation package.
I relied on these assurances in good faith, making significant financial and personal decisions, including relocating and paying non-refundable costs. After all that, I was suddenly told no formal offer existed and that United Rentals took no responsibility. This was both factually inaccurate and highly concerning.
When I tried to escalate and resolve the matter professionally, the company dismissed my concerns instead of honoring the commitments made by its leadership.
Bottom line: Be very cautious. Based on my experience, United Rentals does not operate with transparency or accountability in its hiring process.
