Pros

M-F work, rarely work weekends. Get to meet diverse customers and help them. Good inside reps and techs Not too many other Pros

Cons

Cronyism Nepotism Good old boy club exist in outside reps, branch managers, DM's and above Ethics are questionable, and morals are rare at BM levels. There are some good ones, but not many left Repair techs and inside reps are taken for granted constantly and disrespected Most of promotions to management are given to white males in the secret club, it's not about your talent it's only about the "good old boy system" UR in great numbers is now Hiring poorly qualified individuals from outside the company into outside sales roles, customers take notice and will complain, business suffers due to it, and inside reps have to work harder to compensate for their incompetency. Inside reps have more responsibilities than just about any other position, you take all calls coming in, manage all emails, source everyone's equipment needs, dispatch, type in outside reps work because they get away with not doing so. Negotiate hauling, the endless tasks a BM will add to your never ending TO Do pile or what they just don't want to do. Many more and plus now you have to take many calls from the incompetent outside staff that they hired with no experience in the industry and process their requests because they don't know what their doing. Benefits are expensive in premiums, less than average deductibles and out of pocket high limit pretty high.
