      Pros

      I am fortunate to be in a department that cares about me. Generally employees at our hospital in Des Moines would agree that after travel around the country, our ICU seems to be doing it right, treating us well. Of course its been a difficult few years which I experienced first hand at an AACN confefence we are not alone nor unique and in fact bonded amongst one another nationwide post-covid.

      Cons

      It's still a business and at times this too spills over. And of course personal experiences sometimes can taint ones perception of their work environment. I also wish we had a larger CTS program.
