      Pros

      I loved working at Univar as whole. The pay and benefits were amazing, it really doesn't get better than working at Univar. I didn't want to leave the company, I left my managers.

      Cons

      This isn't the place to get respect. Depending on your department, you'll stay or leave. My manager was incompetent, and her supervisor was even more incompetent, I was not respected despite my education and experience. My manager constantly felt threatened, and would throw tantrums, very unprofessional. I put my heart and soul into my work, I needed a job, but the bullying was unbearable.

      Pros

      Worked at 2 locations and 2 different positions at 2 different times. My first time with Univar was absolutely fabulous, great coworkers on the west coast. I worked hard but the atmosphere was amazing. Then a few years later I went back to work for them on the east coast this time and the company either changed or it was the people and culture that was different. Different position (sales) but I didn't have a good experience. No direction, did not want to focus on building customer relationships as I had done in my previous position as a Coordinator, only care about increasing revenue and new sales at the expense of existing customers.

      Pros

      I honestly can't give any pros, other than people, who will all eventually be gone.

      Cons

      Management, the problems start at the top and the management here is truly sad. Not one person knows anything about leadership or responsibility, but they know plenty about back biting and deflecting responsibility. They use a system that is 30 years old, which makes everything you do exhausting (it takes ten steps to do one thing). The facilities are old, not updated and not well maintained. Health hazards and this place as a whole is a mental health hazard!
