      Some talented people still in place

      Cons

      Lack of commitment to chemical distribution by senior leadership. Looking to reduce head count to appease private equity. Apparent emphasis on reducing the number of experienced employees in order to get new people at lower compensation.

      What used to be great is now mediocre

      It's a job but that's about it.

      Cons

      Univar has conducted a very efficient weeding out of all great experienced managers over the past two years only to be replaced by completely inexperienced and overpaid outsiders. Issue is these people want to run Univar in ways that compete with the other inexperienced and overpaid outsiders who are trying to do the same thing. It is like watching a train wreck in slow motion.

      Pros

      My specific department is pretty organized and has good depth of retention/knowledge. Easy Job with little instruction required and little supervison.

      Cons

      All other departments within company are highly unorganized and dont work well together. No one is ever on the same page- which is to sevice cusotmer. Plus the upper managment has no clue what is going on at the bottom, they ask us for feed back and we give it and nothing happens.
