Layoffs, closures, consolidation. Lower level employees are not respected. High stress The company goes back on it's promises a lot. Corporate posturing Title shuffling Too much middle management

Poor Management, Low Pay & Toxic Work Environment

Recent merger with Nexeo could bring positive changes.

Cons

Univar hires low end talent and pays them below market value. As a result, the level of discontent and unprofessional behavior is high. Senior leadership is very out of touch with the work environment and continues to demand more and more from their employees. There is a high level of distrust between planners and leadership. This all leads to a high turnover rate as most new employees don't last more than 1-2 years before finding better options.
