Pros

Pros-Where do I start? I can honestly say I work for the most thoughtful and generous boss anyone can have. He truly cares about ALL of his employees and does not have a selfish bone in his body. I always knew this, but once I got into management I saw even more of his generosity and passion for his employees. He has taught me a lot about business and has shown by example how to treat customers and employees. He is not in this business for a quick sale, but believes in developing and keeping relationships with his customers. Next biggest PRO is the opportunities at UDI. I started at UDI over 10 years ago with zero experience. Through the years I was given a training path and was trained technically by two of the best in the industry - Our current Service Manager and CTO. With their guidance I went from a network admin and gradually worked up to a Senior level engineer. At that point I was presented with an opportunity to further grow my career and became the CIO. Over these years we had several over engineers that were able to make similar advancements in their careers as well.

Cons

Working in a professional services company is demanding. It requires you to stay on top of technology, get certifications and work long hours on projects. The feelings of any hard work will always seems as a con at first until you accomplish your goals and benefit from the rewards. Well worth the cons.

Pros

The best thing about working at UDI is the values and culture. It is rare to find a company that values their employees, and their families, as much as the quality of work they provide.

Cons

Technology is an ever-changing industry which means continued studies is necessary. I think this makes for a rewarding challenge more than a con.
