Pros

- company is a household name allowing for strong exit opportunities - free Uber rides after late-night concerts - Pension scheme

Cons

- Racisim runs rife as the dominant culture is the white upper-class , who managed to achieve upward mobility within the company pre-digital and pre-streaming era and thus do not like change as it may expose them for having no idea about what is going on within the post-streaming era. - nepotism. - anyone who is exceptionally smart/ambitious eventually leaves. - rides the co-tails of the US success. - Data is underutilised in the company. - Worse understanding of the shortform ecosystem out of all the majors. - overrepresentation of a certain demographic, despite highest revenue earners currently being minorities - cliquey - everyone after a year or two claims they are "getting dumber"

Great colleagues but poor management and low pay

Pros

The people you work with are genuinely lovely and supportive. Many colleagues work hard and try their best to create a positive enviroment despite the challenges.

Cons

Management can be very toxic and there is a clear lack of appreciation for loyal employees. Many of the managers appear to have little to no experience managing people effectively. Salaries are below market rate, and it is common for new starters to be paid more than long-term staff in similar roles. There is little to no meaningful career progression. Even when responsibilities increase or someone effectively performs a more senior role, it often comes without any salary increase or proper compensation. As a result, many employees feel undervalued and unhappy.
