Pros

Good benefits and helps the low wage population. County hospital is nice for county facility.

Cons

There's are some great employees, but it seems that many of the good are leaving:(. Its sad because many of the folks that have new and fresh ideas are forced out. No tolerance for positive change.

Pros

Dirt cheap benefits package, a lot of educational benefits (reimbursement and pre-payment), county pays pretty good versus other institutions.

Cons

Upper management is somewhat of a joke. Directors are constantly leaving and being replaced. Departments are being moved under new directors more often than they should. Co-workers or other employees that are in patient care are horrible. This hospital is rated #7 in the city for customer service, that says a lot about who it employs.

Job is stable and supervisors are flexible in work hours to accomadate schedules. Decent room for promotion based upon experience and skill.

Cons

Managers are "buddy buddy" and are not open to change. Pay is very low for the duties performed. Management is willing to terminate employees over simple disagreements.
