Pros

Great exposure to professional environment. Awesome coworkers. Supportive Managers. Great opportunities of advancement when you are ready. The company encourages people to take charge of their own developments. Managers help those who help themselves.

Cons

Stressful environment. There is an elaborate and long process to the role I play and it takes a lot of time to master the materials. The starting pay is not very good for the amount of stress one is exposed to. You get in contact with many customers who are not always pleasant. Some customers have had very negative encounters with the management and they think that the person on the phone had something to do with it.

Pros

Nice co-workers/people, Great benefits, lots of opportunities - these are the three best things about working at Unum.

Cons

While there is a sense of urgency for some things, system enhancements and speed of ideas being implemented is usually at a snails pace. In this day and age, Unum shouldn't still be using as many manual workarounds and dreaming about how to catch up technologically.
