Pros

Openwave has a very good compensation structure and good benefits. The cultures of the various branches are very different, and there is little interaction across sites.

Cons

The Upper Mgmt has a churn of about every 2 years, thus there has been very little long-term vision. Openwave has been constantly reducing workforce for the last decade, little to no room for advancement, any opening are usually filled from the outside.

Pros

Excellent quality of engineering and knowledge of groups of individuals - the code produced was of a very high standard and great working environment

Cons

Seeing the senior management drive it into the ground. No direction at all and no innovation from the Product Management side - they are still trying to bang out WAP gateways ffs! The Senior VPs don't care - they are getting paid too much to and the upper management below them are next to useless.
