      Pros

      Very small school so one-on-one time with professors. Ability to have your own project and not work under a post doc. Lots of facilities with equipments. Collaborative.

      Small school so limited labs available.

      Salaried , as usual, you work more hours than scheduled as department understaffed for size of hospital and compared with other hospitals of comparable size and smaller.

      State benefits and experience in a level one trauma hospital, as well as educational opportunities and advancement were positive aspects of working for this institution.

      Cons

      Some of the negative aspects include: increased acuity, location, split shift work days, oncall, and mandatory overtime for hospital nurses.
