      Pros

      Biggest employer in area, lots of different kinds of opportunities, tuition reimbursement, and some really smart people in management.

      Cons

      Huge beuracracy. Contains some fiefdoms where some in middle management are not properly held accountable and not all policies are enforced consistently.

      Academic environment flexibility to move into new administrative functions. Opportunity to work with members of various health care personnel. Respect of other faculty members.

      Cons

      Less salary than private practice. More satisfaction in seeing others grow and develope. 'very complex policy requirements that exceed that which is necessary. competency of staff is suspect.
