Pros

Pays very well. No taxes. Healthcare for you is cheap. Coverage for your family is slightly more than you pay for in the States

Cons

72 work weeks. No 401k employer contributions. On base housing, but you have a roommate.

The pay is unbeatable for the area and even compares or beats some engineering roles. $5/hr flat into 401k (no match) is unreal. When this is factored into already high pay its really hard to find something higher.

Cons

A bunch of people were laid off for budget. Everything is seniority based and even if an employee is bad they will not fire. Not much for advancement. Parts were at a standstill. Not sure if money stopped from the gov shutdown though.
