VCA NEEDS TO STEP IT UP

Pros

I love being around animals and being able to clients feel comfortable and at ease with whatever bad situation is going on in their pet's lives. I love the hours... compared to my last job of five years. My shift would start at 2:00 PM and didn't have a closing time. Would work EVERY WEEKEND. ( The money was great but I just had NO LIFE ). With this job I can enjoy my weekend and be able to hangout with friends and family.

Cons

There's a lot of favoritism. I was expecting a rise after my 90 day evaluation...never got it. Now it's going on a year and a half and I've still haven't received my raise! I don't get paid enough. Not only is my job mentally draining but its also emotionally draining.

Pros

At the end of the day you feel good about the help you are giving to people and their pets. The doctors and techs are great. Good employee pet discount.

Cons

Pretty much everything else. They pay terribly, I mean REALLY, REALLY bad. They don't care about creating a good work environment.
