Pros

Great health benefits offered to employees on day one. Great training for real world situations. Structured time off.

Cons

Time and service goes a long way to earn time off or shift bidding. Room for advancement is somewhat tough unless your educated in that field. Union dues are pricey but we’ll worth it if your put in tough situation.

Pros

job security and community driven values.... before i left they let me work from home but that was not very long they forced me to come back to the office without giving me flexibility in hybrid work even though my job could be done remotely..... their covid19 numbers got really high but they still forced me in the office like they didnt even care for my safety or my coworkers

Cons

discriminatory human resources that prevents ppl from getting promotions and transfers or low offers internally that discourages existing employees from chasing opportunities.......even your direct managers and supervisors are too scared to call out human resources on their discrimination and poor practices........because "thats the way its always been done" its like they get bonuses from blocking ppl from moving up the ladder .executive management and lots departments works independently of each other and work in silos, many executives are quick to place blame on other ppl instead of working as a team to fix problems... a lot of the executives been at via for decades and are stuck in their ways the only way i see good change happening is that they retire quit or get other jobs because there are no checks and balances from their bosses .
