Pros

Great company,, helpful co-workers that want to see you succeed as well. Great benefits Very flexible, depending on job or weather related issues, work from home is possible. Company is very family oriented and understands commitments.

Cons

Salary on the low side for type of work done (as well as amount of work). Company is going through a major transition that, although is going well, there have been downsizing in many departments and locations that keep many of us on our toes. Also downside is earning vacation time as you go. CEO is new to the position so it will take some time to see how things are going to play out.

Pros

Pay and benefits are good. I enjoyed working with my peers and the technical staff as well as people in the shared services groups. Some very good technology and products.

Cons

Management in shared services groups and NSE is very poor but management is good in the OSP group. Shared services and NSE management is constantly changing. Re-orgs are very frequent. Layoffs and site closures are a constant threat so employees should stay prepared for being laid off by keeping their resume up to date at all times and staying connected with people outside the company. It's hard to get anything done. Operational efficiency is talked about but doesn't improve. Work/life balance gets a lot of hot air but reality is employees don't take time off.

Nice and friendly co-workers, flexible working time.

Cons

No long term carrier planning. No training. The upper management is hired from the other business area very often. The engineers are treated as disposable equipments, No respect to senior experienced engineer.
