Amazing CEO - Narcissistic Dictating Leadership below him
Pros
Amazing People work for this company, individuals are what keep one another around. The CEO is an amazing leader, he does numerous company wide town halls per year and will stay on the phone with thousands of employees until he personally answers any and all questions. He is direct and honest, so some people may not approve of him, but he will never lie to anyone and I respect that. Benefits are not top tier, but that are above average in today's market.
Cons
The leadership below the CEO however is disappointing, it is full of selfish, personal compensation centered individuals, individuals that have stopped issuing Restricted Stock to retain employees annually while retaining millions of options for themselves. Individuals that hide behind "process and procedures" to justify failures while just screaming louder when things arn't working. Anyone considering a leadership opportunity at VIAVI I would tell to reconsider until present day Global VP's have turned over. HR is contracted out and the few internal HR individuals are anything but helpful, they are not present, never available, and are anything but "business partners". 401k match stops at $5k, this is up from $4k a few years ago, but still disappointing as few companies have a "match" cap.
