      Pros

      VMware is not going anywhere and will keep performing for the years to come. Great location for the headquarters.

      Cons

      Not competitive pay/perks when compared to other Silicon Valley giants. Staff that has worked in the company for over a decade and doesn't know how things are outside of their bubble. "Unlimited PTO" sounded good but felt like a scam.

      Pros

      It’s a software company with historical success. Most companies today have a VMW footprint, which makes conversations easy.

      Cons

      No innovation. Companies are moving to cloud natively and abandoning VMW, which is eroding the on prem vSphere footprint. Horrible leadership, management has fallen to woke culture. They promote based on DEI and not performance or ability. It’s a constant battle to get paid on deals you have closed. Everyone is given a very similar sales number regardless of accounts. Only 30% of sellers make their number! High attrition rates, people are leaving is masses!

      Good company gone bad!

      Pros

      This used to be a great company to work for. However, with the recent changes to leadership and independence, it’s now a “good company gone bad” with a mass exodus.

      Cons

      Lower level positions not valued or appreciated. Lots of lip service with no real promise behind them.
