Pros

PTO and sick days, free coffee. Average Health insurance, dental and vision. Acquired by a good company. Location is busy but a lot surrounding it.

Cons

I currently work at Airwatch and feel disrespected everyday. The processes are not in place and everything is disorganized. My manager doesn't even speak to me. This is the most unprofessional company I have worked at. Favoritism is very apparent, no equal opportunities. HR does not do their job and handle situations like they should, they are concerned with covering for the companies malpractices. If you have an issue it's almost like burden to talk to HR or any management as a matter of fact. No career growth with call center wages. The annual raise is an insulting joke! VMware needs to know! A company like this could take them down the drain with all the HR violations I see on a daily bases. Don't believe all the fake good reviews being wrote by the company HR department. If you plan on having a long successful career with a company do not choose this one. Do yourself a favor! Don't invest your time because you will get zero recognition and pennies for a raise. This department pays well under market value for a Sales Operations Analyst. People are quitting left and right, turn over is HIGH!

Pros

Good domain Good future for the company VMware bringing in lot of expertise and brand equity

Cons

Quality of hiring in engineering has to improve Make sure your hires actually know how to code before getting them on-board Hiring and firing immediately in 3 months is not sustainable. Shows engineering leadership in poor light, it's NOT a candidate's fault if we "hired" them. Because it's OUR job to recognize talent, not the candidate's. Most of your senior people are evangelists - Security evangelist, UX evangelist, 'Microservices' evangelist - where are your developers?

Pros

Open atmosphere, little micromanagement and flexible hours in R&D. VMware's acquisition is starting to have a somewhat good impac .

Cons

Product Management department is filled with completely inexperienced people from support side. Company does not make money and VMware is now seeing this as well which is now resulting in cutbacks and hiring freezes across different department . They've hired a giant group of freshers straight out of school because they are cheap and they will do as they are told. Same formula was used at Manhattan Associates This is a good plan to capture good market share but horrible for product quality which shows in forms of bugs and hotfixes across all products.
