Great Training, Collaborative work environment, not sure where it will go

Nice office with a view of the mountains food, espresso, and free drinks Workday ends at 5 pm, no pagers or late night calls. lots of happy talk about career progression

Cons

Very metrics driven and competitive to churn through high volume, burnout factor for sure. Sweatshop like cube farm, little cross-team interaction, I hardly know the people who work 3 rows down. Managers hand out memos with career ladder diagrams, but no specifics are given. This location does not employ senior staff, so promotion is necessarily limited despite the talk.

Great people, intelligent able to challenge your mind.

Cons

When regreening employees it should be an opportunity for employees to continue to grow with an organization and be shown that we are all in it together. Unfortunately what is being stated is if you are regreened at VMware we want you here now and in the future. For those of you who are the bigger population of the company thanks, but no heartache if you leave.

- name is well known -products sells itself. -lion's share of the virtualization space

- The company has been built on a house of cards - Should be called "BEA part 2" - you're either "IN" or your out - top executives STILL there. - a lot of the best sales leadership were either pushed out due to arrogance at the executive level - or they left once they realized the place was a mad house and built of a house of cards
