      Pros

      I have been with 3 other tech vendors of similar size to VMware. After 4 years VMware is still the best place have worked. I bench mark regularly and compensation/benefits are generally excellent. VMware is generally ok with home working and relocation. Senior management team is mature - I haven't seen pettiness or empire building that I have seen in other companies. First place I have worked where the HR organization is professional and innovative. Given a lot scope in my current role. VMware's continued growth and breadth of products keeps things interesting and means there are lots of opportunities.

      Cons

      VMware is now a big company so the normal bureaucracy that comes with that has crept in. But although decision making can be slow at times - it is better than other places I have worked.

      customer satisfaction first. Full freedom to align deliverables with customer expectations. Fantastic work/life balance, freedom to arrange workingtime and familytime, the end result counts. Great vision and execution

      Cons

      none so far. Have tried to find cons but after 2 years it still works out for me.
