Pros

Positive work environment. Plethora of training and product materials available. Sales Managers are available for questions and very involved but do not micro manage. Employees get a long and support each other. Lots of potential for growth and with recent acquisition of VMware things are booming more than ever. Compensation plan for my position has drastically improved since I first started.

Cons

I'm not afraid of hard work, staying late, or coming in early, however I find myself sometimes obligated to stay longer even though I have finished all of my work for the day.

Pros

Fantastic technology, smart & seasoned exec team, and unprecedented growth potential thanks to the VMware acquisition.

Cons

Salespeople with average technical aptitude will be left behind. Those who have achieved success by relying on a sales engineer to handle the bits and bytes will have to morph their style. 9-5ers need not apply - the culture is hard charging and competitive. (only a con if that's not what you like)

Pros

Great facilities at HQ Great benefits Great products (but in a matured market with limited growth potentials)

Cons

- Overly competitive (some competitiveness is healthy, but this place takes it to the next level) - Too many head chefs in the kitchen. - Horrible managers who don't trust their employees and micro-manage. - Most worker-bees work under extreme pressure and fear - Unseasoned managers with no proper training on how to be effective managers/ team leaders. - People don't know this, but layoffs are norms here. - During annual performance review, my manager said "you go to gym at lunchtime, right? When you are on the treadmill, why don't you use that time to think about work and process improvement?" I think that said it all.
