Pros
Outstanding culture, technology leader. I often tell people that working at VMware is the most difficult, but also most rewarding position I've held in over 20 years. VMware won't spoon-fed you, but will ensure that you are given the tools and opportunities to go as far as you want. Your success at VMware is directly tied to your effort that you put in.
Cons
Compensation is little below other technology companies in the Bay area. Some career paths, particularly those in Professional Services, have a limited path.
