Pros

Talented, dedicated staff that is dedicated to the mission of the organization and care deeply about the students that attend the school.

Cons

The Executive Director micromanaged talent and involves himself in the minutia of day-to-day operations instead of focusing on leveraging the talent within the leadership team. He looks for 'yes' people to fall in line and is deeply insecure about his capacity and aptitude as a leader. He is a friendly person, but struggles to develop his staff and keeps a Board around him that allows him to maintain order and control. Under his leadership, VOICE has lost a lot of talent and saw results impacted negatively as a result.

Pros

Great place for novice/developing teachers to grow.

Cons

School needs to restructure and redefine what "diversity and inclusion" means to them on the leadership level. School structure is built on antiquated systems rooted in white supremacy.
