Pros

Interesting clients, core team members minus owners were wonderful, and most of the contractors were fabulous.

Cons

While this company has been around for ten years, it operates like a freshly formed startup. The fundamental systems lack efficiency and automation which leaves time wasted and money lost. The failure to pay for needed programs and software have weighed down the growth. Further stunting growth is the lack of overall competent leadership. The owners run the company with no human resource knowledge or actual work experience. Neither of these girls have worked in actual corporate management positions or even a retail leadership role which is telling by the "mean girl mentality". This mentality is used as a cover up for the lack of knowing how to utilize their team and provide forward moving direction. Likeablity is confused with competence. They do not like to hear solutions that require them to act like business owners. Owners work harder than employees and lead by example which is not the standard. The owners use micromanagement as a compensation for their lack of basic business knowledge. They don't have a fundamental understanding of what roles they have nor what they need. They treat employees who show up and work for improvement with personal attacks privately and publicly. They tolerate mediocre work ethics from employees if they like that employee. They fail to work with diverse personalities and prefer easily manipulated people or those that need to be there. Growth is limited by the owners' lack of understanding in regard to fiduciary responsibility to make a profit. Contracts are not taken as serious legal documents, and there are no limits to how they will let clients treat Vava employees. Clients have free run of this business as the owners are only concerned with the appearances of success such as ratings and happy tones. Overall, I can not recommend working for this company if you have long term work experience or have a solid work ethic. You will be burned out from drama, lack of structure, lack of direction, and wasted potential. Moreover, it's disheartening to know that a women led business is promoting a toxic work environment for women.

Pros

You can work from home

Cons

The lack of professionalism I encountered during my time here was astounding. It may be “female centered” but they are not supporters of women who view feminism in a modern sense of the word or support folks who present as feminine. The lack of communication was also staggering because when you initially join, you are bombarded with slack messages & emails & tasks to complete, but when important issues arise, you are given the silent treatment.

Pros

Working as a Virtual Executive Assistant with VaVa Virtual has been an incredibly rewarding experience. From day one, I felt supported, valued, and set up for success. The onboarding process was smooth and well-organized, making it easy to understand expectations and feel confident stepping into my role. One of the standout aspects of working with VaVa Virtual is the strong sense of community. Even in a remote environment, there’s a genuine effort to stay connected, collaborate, and support one another. The leadership team is approachable, communicative, and truly invested in both client success and employee growth. The work itself is engaging and varied, offering opportunities to build skills across different industries and executive styles. I appreciate the level of trust placed in assistants to manage responsibilities independently while knowing support is always available when needed. VaVa Virtual also does a great job matching assistants with clients, which makes a big difference in creating productive and positive working relationships. The flexibility of remote work combined with clear structure and expectations allows for a healthy work-life balance. Overall, VaVa Virtual is a fantastic company for anyone looking to grow as a Virtual Executive Assistant while being part of a professional, supportive, and empowering team.

Cons

The most stressful part of working with VaVa Virtual is managing the varying expectations and working styles of different clients. Because each executive has their own preferences, communication style, and pace, there can be a learning curve when starting a new match or supporting multiple clients at once. At times, priorities can shift quickly, requiring you to stay highly organized, adaptable, and proactive. This can feel fast-paced, especially when juggling competing deadlines or urgent requests. However, this challenge also helps build strong problem-solving skills, flexibility, and resilience. With time, clear communication, and support from the VaVa Virtual team, it becomes much easier to anticipate needs and manage workloads effectively.
