Pros

Good starter entry level job. Decent to good pay. Hours are good. Managerial staff is very understanding and will work with you.

Cons

Maybe just the pay at first and some of the medical benefits as a whole. For where I’m at in life this is good. Some kind of slight discrepancies between teams.

Pros

I liked my colleagues well enough.

Cons

The salaries and benefits are the worst ever I came across. Also, payments are often late. They don't even apologize for the delay. They don't care how you would pay your bills or feed your family. Only join if you have another income source.

Vaco Dallas truthful review

Pros

Snacks in office Some people in this office are good people

Cons

Let me begin by saying I left the Vaco Dallas late 2019 and I still stay in touch with many of my past colleagues (ones who haven't also left) & things are the same if not worse. Vaco as a WHOLE has good culture and doesn't want to be like the other big name brand staffing firms. They promote a collaborative work culture and strive to be different. The problem is, each office around the US operates however they want to under their own LLC. "Vaco Dallas LLC" for example. The Managing Partner in this office is severely out of touch and is truly stuck in the past. Since I started I've seen massive turnover for only a 20-person office. At least 15 people have come and gone while I was there. The MP does a very poor job at hiring QUALITY people and it really shows. Division leaders are constantly coming and going, people are fired for no reason at all, and there is miscommunication all over the place. The Partner of this office only cares about himself. Things used to not be like this and his selfish ways have had a negative impact on the entire office's morale. You have to compete for business even with our "leader" and some of the decisions are mind boggling. Don't expect to receive ANY training in-office. There is a dumb cookie-cutter PowerPoint that they send to new hires but there is zero structure around completing it and little to no guidance. I've seen folks get hired with little to no experience in a certain area and they've been completely thrown to the wolves to fail. The Partner would rather play golf every Friday instead of putting in extra effort to make sure his employees are properly trained. The actual office is a joke. Probably one of the oldest/cheapest buildings in DFW and it has zero perks, no good views, crappy smell and always has issues (flooding, terrible internet/Wifi) & when the office was flooded and smelt like mold we were still forced to come into the office. The building should be knocked down I don't think it's had any updates since the 80's. If you're interviewing for different staffing/recruiting firms - there are better ones out there with better leadership. ANY position at Vaco Dallas will NOT be a long term thing, I don't care who you are you will leave no later than a year. There is no room for actual growth/promotion, you get a title change with NO increase in pay. BIG BIG BIG problem here....it doesn't matter if you are a top producer or not and have the highest spread/gross margin - our clients NEVER or barely pay. There is zero structure around circling back with our clients to get paid on both permanent or consulting placements. All of the Account Managers are in charge of hounding them to pay. (Which they barely do) I've seen TOP producers leave because they never received commission. All in all, it is a very toxic work environment with just a few good people. Nobody really communicates with each other and it's a very odd workplace. Look elsewhere.
