      Too many disparate subsidiaries

      Allows subsidiaries to operate with independence

      Cons

      Too many disparate subsidiaries with independent decision-makers with no accountability other than financials. Some of the subsidiaries are placement firms and others are in the Professional Consulting Services business - neither thinking synergistically due to comp structures. Morale, Growth, Continuous Improvement, and some in leadership with egos. HR could do a better job in independently assessing morale.

      Pros include excellent work life balance, a strong culture, earning potential and fun colleagues.

      Cons

      Cons include a leadership team that is tasked with producing as individual contributors in addition to leading (causing them to be spread too thin, forget things, and be less attentive) and limited opportunity for advancement (especially into true management).

      Pros

      You'll meet some of the most amazing people at Vaco who will genuinely have your back across all divisions and roles. Benefits are good for the most part, also.

      Cons

      It seems like everyone turns a blind eye to bad management. The amount of times I've heard someone vent about how poorly they're being treated by someone in a leadership position is horrifying. Also, they talk a big game about diversity, but outside of holding a biweekly meeting about people of color, it seems performative. They also don't acknowledge employees with disabilities.
