Pros

Pay is above industry standard for certain positions. Likely due to strange hours and constantly changing job requirements. BUT money is money right? “Google” offices have snacks Generally layed back environment Some people are nice

Cons

Communication needs LOTS of work. Seems like managers never know what is going on. HR may respond to concerns? May not. Managers will tel you something important then ends up being false and will screw your over. It always seems like upper levels WANT to keep everyone in the dark. It is weirdly secretive. Management needs NO experience or qualifications. I have a manager who certainly isn’t more competent or knowledgeable than me or my colleagues. In fact he leads us astray lots of the time. A lot of peuple I work with are not great at the job and get lots and lots of chances to mess up but the managers don’t really care as long as some kind of work gets done. A few people usually end up cleaning up after the rest of the group Benefits are dismal. Health insurance is kind of crappy AND expensive. PTO has been hard to get at times and managers threaten to take it away. Have to work on holidays. Policies aren’t set in stone and change all the time. You will be hired to work certain days and certain hours but they can force a schedule change any time. Feels competitive and clicky and catty like high school. Probably because managers are all really young and inexperienced.
