Pros

Vaco as a whole, is a nation-wide talent solutions firm that offers excellent resources given its size. You'll have access to top tier talent both in NYC as well as across the rest of the country. In terms of compensation, the industry is EXTREMELY lucrative. The only caveat, is that it takes time to build a book of business, and it takes about 2-3 years before you can really begin making over 6 figures.

Cons

It's a rather large office space given how small the NYC team is, but we are moving to a new space soon.

They don't care about their employees

Pros

I worked as a vendor at Google. My experiences are unique to my position. - Decent starting salary for those early in their career. - Work with Googlers on Google projects. - Access to Google office with free meals/gym etc. - Google looks good on the resume.

Cons

- People who work for Vaco are vendors working at Google. They are not Googlers. Vaco makes this very clear on your first day. - Google uses Vaco to hire workers to staff projects they don't want to hire Googlers for (usually because they are less-skilled positions). - Management does not care about their own employees. To them, employees are simply bodies who perform tasks. Management's loyalty is to Google, because that is who is paying them. Expect them to bend over backwards for Google while doing the bare minimum for their own people. - Certain managers lack experience and people-skills, which is very bad for morale. - Bad benefits. - Very little chance to be hired by Google, and also limited upward mobility within Vaco.
