Pros

The benefits are salary are ok.

Cons

This company is not what it used to be. Refinery management only care to advance their careers off the backs and sacrifice of ops personnel. Reducing operations positions and effectively doubling the workload on existing operators creates an even more stressful and dangerous work environment than it already is.

Pros

Good pay and insurance benefits

Cons

Revolving door - no employee retention. Almost always shorthanded, so tons of overtime. The ones that are the most knowledgeable in an area are fired, then others are belittled until they also leave. You’re also required to donate a good chunk of your pay to the United way or you get a poor evaluation.
