Pros

Formidable platform for contemplating exercise science studies (if like me you're a student of the art), substantial amounts of quality independent worktime (esp. for the more introspective like myself), and depending on the type of chemistry there is or isn't between the service valet and the community of the properties serviced there can be some serious potential for helping boost and enhance overall community moral.

Cons

The pay starts low for what becomes a seriously labor-intensive job. The raise incentives are far too far apart to be considered truly observant of a valet's work quality, and last I noted the maximum wage a service valet can make is $20 per hour (as of June 2024 here in Las Vegas, NV).

Pros

While working at Valet Living, I found a silver lining in the company's approach to scheduling. It seems they're so committed to work-life balance that they inadvertently encourage you to explore new career opportunities – you might find yourself with enough free time to update your resume and browse job listings. It's like they're the unwitting career coach you never knew you needed!

Cons

My experience at Valet Living exposed me to some concerning aspects of the company’s culture and operational priorities. It became increasingly clear that the company prioritizes profit far above the well-being of its employees. The rigid and often unreasonable time constraints placed on property assignments not only created a stressful work environment but also raised questions about the company’s respect for its workforce. This relentless push for efficiency often seemed to disregard the practical challenges faced by employees, leading to a constant sense of pressure and dissatisfaction. Furthermore, the high turnover rate among District Managers is a glaring issue. It speaks volumes about the unsustainable demands and expectations set by the higher-ups. This revolving door of management not only disrupts the workflow but also signals a deeper problem within the company's leadership and organizational culture. In my view, Valet Living’s approach is short-sighted and unsustainable. A company that fails to value and support its employees is undermining its own foundation. There is a dire need for a fundamental shift in how the company operates, placing a greater emphasis on employee well-being and sustainable management practices. Without this change, Valet Living risks not only its reputation but also its long-term viability as an employer of choice.

Pros

Work from home to a certain extent

Cons

Typical work day starts at 7am with your phone dinging and requests for numbers meeting after meeting, you have to be available to be at the mercy of al District managers needing supplies, conduct office visits to angry property managers, more meetings and at 5 pm tie your shoes, if any part-time worker called out or you are short staffed they expect you the Operations Manager to go out and collect trash every night until 2am or 3 am in the morning only to repeat eh next day. No family time, Friday and Saturday are supposed to be off, but you work those days as they slap more meeting and reports that they need. If you want to be a real Operation Manager this is not the place to manage and lead, micromanaging and you are not in control. If they tell you any different have them put it in writing that you only work 5 days per week from 8-5 and you are done, you don't collect trash and you don't work Fri-Saturday, I bet they wont do it. Oh and up to 15% of your annual salary as a bonus is false, metrics are so bad you will never see the bonus, so just count on your Salary, with the amount of days and hours working you should be getting paid over 90K because the 75K they offer does not compute with the amount of work they want from you.
