Pros

You're by yourself most nights, so if you don't like socializing, this is a nice job. The hours for this job are good for fulltime employees looking for extra gig work at night.

Cons

The effort is far too demanding for the pay. Imagine doing 50 lb dumbbell farmer walks up and down 50+ flights of stairs in the span of 2 hours, and if you're in Arizona like me, the summer nights of 110+ degrees will nearly kill you. At the end of the night, you'll collapse in your car and won't recover for another 20+ minutes and will realize you didn't even make more than $30 for that amount of effort that night. (if you're an efficient worker, you will be paid less, since you finished the job faster) I don't think even construction workers are made to work this intensely in that short of a time period. Just get a job at Mcdonalds. They will pay the same but your body won't die. Or go work construction. I heard HVAC pays pretty good. Some apartment complex are better than others. The apartment I was assigned to had FAR too many staircases. 50+ in one night, because each apartment had it's own staircase, and I had to walk up every staircase to check each door, in case anybody had any trash that was hidden by balcony walls. The apartment that I was trained at, however, had only 12 or so staircases, so the workload was much easier. If you're lucky to get an easy apartment complex and don't mind the workload, stick wtih it. It's not a bad job otherwise.

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. We recognize that the Service Valet role can be physically demanding, particularly in environments with high heat or multiple staircases. We strive to ensure workloads are manageable and that associates feel fairly compensated for their efforts. Your input is valuable, and we’ll continue to use feedback like this to evaluate ways we can improve the experience for our team.

Pros

There are no pros except you get a check.

Cons

This company doesn’t care about anything but making more profit, even if it’s at the expense of their clients and staff. Valets are underpaid while expected to provide top tier service. H‑E‑B pays their employees more to do less. They don’t appreciate the people that actually keep the company running. They’ve taken away benefits of this job, so nobody wants to do it. Do not work here as anything more than a valet if that’s even worth it for you.
