Overall good place to work

Pros

Mostly good team to work with. Friendly environment. Benefits pay 80% of premium. 4% match on 401k.

Cons

Low annual raises of 2% on average. Positions created for specific employees and not posted for anyone else to be able to apply for. Too many directors or VPs of everything. What do they do??? Turning into a bank rather than Credit Union atmosphere. SELL, SELL, SELL! Eliminated Positions and stacked the workload on employees for same pay.

Pros

The best thing about working at the credit union is the people you will work with. You will find the employees are caring of each other. I have seen fundraising for people who have lost loved ones and departments purchase gifts for familys in need. Good place to work if you just want to do the bare minimum and still get paid. Good benefits.

Cons

You probably won't ever move up because there isn't a lot of places to go. The senior leadership and board of directors don't look like the community. They are considerable whiter and older than the community they are supposed to serve. Development isn't really a priority and they will just look outside rather than working to help you get ahead in your career. No accountability lets people who have managed to skate by stay in positions that aren't appropriate. Pay scales start out okay, but raises aren't good. Even after a long time I get change for raises.
