Pros

I guess the benefits you MAY be offered but the cons significantly outweigh the pros

Cons

Sadly the company has become the definition of corporate greed. Vanguard may say their mission is to give investors the best chance for investment success, but in the call centers the mission is to get someone off the phone ASAP and move onto the next....similar concept on how they treat their employees. They say each person is valuable, but really, to Vanguard, you ARE replaceable. I came to Vanguard because I strongly agreed with the mission statement, but it is not that company anymore and there is not a person I will recommend this company to.... not worth being treated like you’re the crap stuck to upper managements’ shoes (because while more money is being allotted to them, the average employee salary is not something a person can functionally live off of)

Pros

Anything that was a pro has been taken from us.

Cons

Management is atrocious and the company is superficial. If clients knew what goes on behind the scenes they would not think as highly of the company. I have been lied to multiple times by management since joining almost a year ago, as well as I have been directed to lie to clients to cover up IT problems. I thought I was joining a reputable organization but again it’s all a facade. The place is like a cult and if you don’t drink their juice you are an outcast and shunned. They say they want you to bring your authentic self to work but what they really want is for you to keep your mouth shut and enjoy getting screwed. They treat Veterans like a punch line. Saying they appreciate your service out of one side of their mouth and out of the other tell you your service means nothing and it’s not real experience. Stay away!!!

Pros

Benefits and Work Flexibility, but come at a price of dysfunctional management and stress

Cons

Salary is not competitive, depending on your management team and what dept you either are applying for or work in, chances are high that you'll be treated like garbage down the road and forced out or fired. Just not worth it.
